It has been said that motor racing is a drug that once it gets in your system it is there forever. Well this could be truer today than ever, especially in the case of Dell Haverland, owner of HDR Performance, Inc. Dell eats, sleeps & breathes Motorsports and it has been this way since he was a child.

   From racing mini bikes around the back yard, to flat track motorcycles racing around the Midwest, , to stock cars, to road racing, Dell has been a participant in many aspects of the sport. Like so many racers, circumstances & family responsibilities have kept him from pursuing a professional career as a driver. However, as a part time racer & fan, the fire still burns. Hence the move into the performance car parts & prep business.

   Dell and his competitor & racing buddy (since 1989) Hannu Nummenpaa, decided to turn their passion into a business. The two racers have so much knowledge & experience to offer and the energy to get it done. Dell has been successful in several business ventures in the Golf & Sports Field construction business so his business & management skills are a plus.

   Hannu, in particular, has the hands on knowledge & skills to make any type road race car, formula car, sports racer or GT car competitive at the National level. He has over 150 SCCA victories in open wheel & sedans. He has worked as car chief & mechanic in several pro series & most recently with an ALMS team, Performance Tech which fields IMSA Lights & LMPC cars.

   HDR's South Florida location makes it an ideal shop for year around racing services.
